Planetary Health Watch (PHW) is proposed by Sir Andy Haines following the release of The Lancet in 2015: The Ultimate Goal of Human Action for Global Change. The goal of PHW is to develop a monitoring system, with cut-edging advances in information, data and remote sensing, to closely monitor global environment change, analyze the dynamics and assess the impact on human health, leading to proactive suggestions in safeguarding human health and planetary health.

Prof. Cai Wenjia, associate professor in the Department of Earth System Science, also attended the workshop.
